A four-leaf clover, a special coin, a horseshoe, and other naturally lucky charms or talismans can often be hard to come by. However, we all need a little touch of luck and splash of magic in our lives from time to time—whether it’s pining for that dream job you just applied for, or crossing your fingers that luck befalls friends or family. With a few simple tolls and a lot of good intent, you can nudge luck in the right direction.
I first tried using this spell when I was waiting to get into my top choice graduate program and hoping the job interview I had just had that day worked its way into a job. Hearing good news from either would have been great, hearing back from both? Fantastic. I decided to use magic to aid me; after all, what’s wrong with a little luck? Using simple tools, I took one of my favorite necklaces that I wear on a daily basis and turned it into my good luck charm.
Tools
· Candle (color of your choosing)
· Object to symbolize luck (something small you can carry with you)
The color of your candle depends on what realm of your life needs the most luck. When doing the spell I chose the color green, because, to me, the job interview fell under the realm of money and prosperity. The graduate program also fell under prosperity because I hope to use it to better my craft. You can use a red or pink candle for luck with romance and passion. If you find yourself lacking in the colored candles department, you can just use white. The white candle can be used as a replacement for any candle color. You just have to make sure your intent and focus during the spell is that much stronger.
Now, it’s best to do this spell in a room with a door. The idea is that you start with the door closed, complete the spell, and then open the door to let in the luck. Light the green candle and grasp your lucky object and imagine the good luck encasing you and the object specifically. It’s best to have a specific endeavor you’d like to be lucky in. When you feel the lucky energy has surrounded you, you go and throw open the door and envision a path for the good luck to follow you.
Wear the good luck charm in times when you need it most, carry it with you if you have an interview at that job you love, or slip it in the pocket of a loved one in the hopes that their luck turns around. It’s as simple as that—and now you can walk around with a little piece of luck in your pocket.
