SUBURBAN RELAPSE
Fog jerked off
burning away into the sun
a single hand signing
the word for song
on the subzero days
the girls at the bus stop
lose breath, change
what lava every vein
the same choking sap
the same lame roots
how many happy seizures
until hands will steady
solid rocks to hold baby
under a dim sun
dumpling:
little white wet
bones this girl
yours and mine
all this rain we thunder.
