BY JOANNA C. VALENTE
Marcus Jade, a folk and blues musician, will tear your heart out. His new EP, Moon, is incredible. Jade just released it this month, and it can be yours for $4 (and it’s available for listening on Bandcamp here).
The songs are delicate and vulnerable (such as “Average Love”) and then move to stark, lonely, and melancholic (“In Your Glory”). Jade’s cover of “La Vie En Rose” is bittersweet, utterly romantic, and a fresh take on the classic love song that feels both ultra new and modern, and yet timeless.
Let’s just say, simply, it’s a must-listen. Jade is a musician to watch for a long time.
